Chubbuck Recreation Opportunity Overview

The City of Chubbuck offers the citizenry multiple opportunities for outdoor recreation. The vast majority of the recreation outlets we offer are maintained physical structures such as walking paths, basketball hoops, playground equipment and so forth. In addition, we offer organized recreation leagues or facilitate spectator sporting events we feel the community would enjoy and come out to support.

City League Baseball & Softball Information

DJI00267The City of Chubbuck offers boys baseball and girls softball leagues for ages 4 to 15. Registration for all leagues is typically held at the end of February until the first of March.

Registration can be don at:

Youth baseball and softball seasons start in April and run through June. Backyard Baseball season starts in June and runs though July. The Cotant Park baseball complex serves as the home fields for all boy’s baseball games. Be aware of parking regulations near this park. The Capell Park softball complex will be home field for girl’s softball.

Tennis Court Locations & Key Checkout Information

DJI00290Citizens can obtain a key for the park tennis courts at the Public Works desk during regular office hours. You may checkout a key at no cost for a 48 hour period. In addition, you may checkout a key for the entire season (April 1 to October 31) for a $10 fee. You must complete and sign a court use agreement form in either case.
Your public tennis courts are located at Capell Park, Bicentennial Park and Cotant Park. The current tennis court at Mary’s Park will soon be a Pickle Ball court. Please remember to lock and clean courts when you are finished with them.

Chubbuck Pocatello Hockey Association

The Chubbuck Pocatello Hockey Association would like to thank everyone who donated their time and materials to make the Capell Park Hockey Rink a success. The City of Chubbuck’s support of its recreational programs is shown in their continued commitment to expansion within Capell Park.
The Chubbuck Pocatello Hockey Association offers Inline Recreational Hockey for kids and adults of all ages. Spring and Fall seasons begin in April and September and run for approximately 8-10 weeks.
CPHA League Fees:

  • Spring and Fall Inline season- $35.00 per season
  • Winter Ice Hockey season- $50.00* for USA Hockey members

*A $36.00 annual USA Hockey Membership is required to play.
