CHUBBUCK BACKFLOW PREVENTION PROGRAM

Most homes and many businesses are required to have properly installed backflow prevention assemblies — mechanical devices that prevent contaminants and chemicals from entering the potable water supply. If there is backflow occurence at your home, you could contaminate your drinking water with polluted water from an irrigation canal or water pooled around a sprinkler head that has fertilizer on it. Click here for more about backflow. If you have a sprinkler system installed at your home, you are required by Idaho State Drinking Water regulations (IDAPA 58.01.08.552.6) the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC 603.3.3) and Chubbuck City Code (13.08.190) to have an approved backflow assembly like the one pictured to the right installed and annually inspected.
