CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Land Use & Development Commission of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on December 11, 2018 at Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 5160 Yellowstone Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho, with respect to the following items:

  1. An application for a Conditional Use Permit for a Home Daycare. Location is 4619 Pahsimeroi, Chubbuck, ID 83202, Lot 16 Block 2 of The Grove Subdivision 2nd Current zoning designation is (R-1) Single Family Residential. Type of Action: Public hearing and Land use decision

A complete description of each item is available to the public on request at the City Office. Commission packet will be available at the City Office on December 4, 2018. Any and all persons may register comments, protests, or agreements on the hearing subjects being considered. Oral testimony concerning these proposals may be offered at the public hearing. Commission may limit oral testimony. Written testimony must be received by the Planning Department at least 7 days prior to the hearing, shall comply with standards established in City Code 18.28.020.D.7., and shall be considered public record.

City Hall and the City Council Chambers are accessible for persons with disabilities. Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the meeting should contact the City Planner, Paul Andrus at 208.237.2430 at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

THE ANNUAL CITY OF CHUBBUCK CHRISTMAS LIGHTING CONTEST 2018 DATES ANNOUNCED.

CHUBBUCK – Make your Christmas bright… and spread the cheer. The City of Chubbuck celebrates Christmas with its annual outdoor decorating contest! It is that time of year again, if you have the most festive house on the block, then we would like to know! The City of Chubbuck invites all residents and businesses to enter in the annual Holiday Decorating Contest. This is a great way to show off your community pride and spread cheer throughout the holiday season. It’s also a perfect project for the entire family to enjoy, so, pull out your Santa, sled, reindeer, wreath and, of course, don’t forget the lights!

The contest is open to all residential homes and businesses within the Chubbuck City Limits. We encourage Businesses to participate as well.  Selections will be made in all areas of the city. Winners will be chosen in the following categories: Best Animation, Most Colorful, Most Traditional, Spirit of the Season (2), Best Commercial/Business, Mayor’s Choice, Clark Griswold Award (most lights), and Best Overall. If you see a house or business that you think deserves an award, let us know by sending us an email at ChubbuckLightscontest@gmail.com or send us a message through the City of Chubbuck official Facebook Page. Please be sure to include as much information as possible including photos, which award you think they should win and most importantly, the address. Submissions will be accepted thru 5pm December 1, 2018.

Judging will be held December 6, 2018 thru December 9, 2018. On the nights of judging, please turn all your holiday lights on by 6:00 p.m. and leave them on until 11:00 p.m. Winners will be announced no later than December 11, 2018 via a press release and a sign being placed in their yard. Signs will be placed no later than December 11, 2018. Winners will receive special recognition on the City website, Social Media and will be spotlighted in the local media! Happy Holidays!

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on December 5, 2018 at Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 5160 Yellowstone Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho, in accordance with Idaho Code 63-1311A, and with respect to the following items: to consider public comment regarding a Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee, Police and Animal Control Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee, and Emergency Services (Fire and EMS) Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee and the adoption of the  Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee, Police and Animal Control Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee, and Emergency Services (Fire and EMS) Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee as well as adoption of an ordinance imposing the developmental impact fees and repealing sections 17.16.110, 17.16.130 through 17.16.240, amending 17.16.100 of the Chubbuck Municipal code, and adopting chapter 17.24 Impact Fee to provide an impact fee upon new development. The Land Use and Development Commission previously recommended approval of the proposal to 17.16 with a requested change to ensure that parks and land may still be obtained through the development process in accordance with adopted plans.  Action Item: Decision
