Memorial Day

City Offices will be closed on Monday May 27, 2019 In celebration of Memorial Day. City Offices will reopen on Tuesday May 28, 2019 at 7:30am. Sanitation will run as normal, Residents who are scheduled for a Monday pickup for garbage should still place their carts out by 7 a.m. Officials would also like to remind residents that the Bannock County Landfill will be closed to the public.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:00 pm on June 5, 2019 at Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 5160 Yellowstone Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho, with respect to the following items:

  1. An application for a Change in Land Use District from Industrial (I) to Limited Residential (R-2) on approximately 4.2 acres s of land. Subject property in the SE ¼ of Section 3, Township 6 South, Range 34 East of the Boise Meridian, Idaho, generally located on the east side of the Union Pacific Railroad and Highland Storage, north of Chubbuck Road and west of Whitaker Road in Chubbuck, Idaho. The Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use map designates this area as Medium Density and Mixed Use. Following a public hearing on May 14, 2019 the Land Use and Development Commission recommended approval of the petition.

A complete description of each item is available to the public on request at the City Office. Council packets will be available at the City Office on May 29, 2019.  Any and all persons may register comments, protests, or agreements on the hearing subjects being considered. Oral testimony concerning these proposals may be offered at the public hearing. Council may limit oral testimony. Written testimony must be received by the City Clerk at least 7 days prior to the hearing, shall comply with standards established in City Code 18.28.020.D.7, and shall be considered public record.
