NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO
The Public Hearings scheduled for August 11, 2026 have been rescheduled for August 25, 2026.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Land Use & Development Commission of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:00 pm on August 25, 2026 at Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 290 East Linden Ave., Chubbuck, Idaho. Public hearings will be held with respect to the following items:
- An application for a rehearing to consider a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for loft-style townhomes in the General Commercial (C-2) zone. The Chubbuck 2045: Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map designates this area for Commercial development. The subject property comprises approximately .4 acres and is located at 111 W Briscoe Rd, Chubbuck, Idaho. The application will be reviewed against criteria in section 18.28.020.C.5 of City Code. Type of action: Decision.
- An application for the initial zoning (land use district) on property that is proposed to be annexed into the City of Chubbuck. The proposed zone is Limited Residential (R-2). The subject property of approximately 25.17 acres is located approximately 1,900 feet south of Siphon Rd, west of Cole St, north of the Church Lateral canal, and approximately 970 feet east of Philbin Rd. At the meeting, the Commission will consider whether the proposal satisfies the approval criteria for the zoning designation in municipal code section 18.28.050.B. Type of Action: Recommendation.
Written testimony must be received by jbowers@cityofchubbuck.us at least 7 days prior to the hearing, shall comply with standards established in City resolution 2021-06. A complete description of each item is available to the public on request to jbowers@cityofchubbuck.us. Commission packets are generally available the week before the meeting at https://cityofchubbuck.us/land-use-commission/ or are available by contacting the City Clerk. Any and all persons may register comments, protests, or agreements on the hearing subjects being considered in person. Oral testimony concerning these proposals may be offered at the public hearing. Commission may limit oral testimony.
