NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on April 3, 2019 at Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 5160 Yellowstone Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho, with respect to the following item:

  1. An application for Vacation of a Cul-de-Sac and corresponding 15 foot utility easement located at the North end of Burley Drive being a part of Ratliff Subdivision Division No. 1 located in the South East Quarter of Section 3, Township 6 South, Range 34 East, Boise Meridian, Bannock County, Idaho.

2. An application for a change in Land Use District from Limited Residential (R-2) to General Commercial (C-2) on 1.46 acres of land. Location is in the NE ¼ of Section 10, Township 6 South, Range 34 East of the Boise Meridian, Idaho, generally located at 4526 and 4528 Burley Drive in Chubbuck, Idaho. The Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use map designates this area as Employment. Following a public hearing on March 14, 2019, the Land Use and Development Commission recommended approval of the petition.

3. An application for annexation in the City of Chubbuck which consists of approximately 45 acres and with designation for Limited Commercial (C-1) zoning. The subject property is located within the southeast ¼ of section 34, Township 5 South, Range 34 East, of the Boise Meridian, Idaho. Location: Subject property includes the following Bannock County tax parcels: R3803055503, R3803055500, and R3803055504. The general location is north and west of the intersection of Siphon Road and Whitaker Road, extending west to and including the Union Pacific Railroad Right-of-Way, and north approximately 1,743 feet. Following a public hearing on March 14, 2019 the Land Use and Development Commission recommended the approval of Limited Commercial (C-1) zoning on the applicant’s property (Bannock County parcel R3803055503), and recommended approval of the petition for annexation with the condition of obtaining written consent from the private owner of the railroad parcel (Bannock County parcel R3803055504).

A complete description of each item is available to the public on request at the City Office. Council packets will be available at the City Office on March 27, 2019. Any and all persons may register comments, protests, or agreements on the hearing subjects being considered. Oral testimony concerning these proposals may be offered at the public hearing. Council may limit oral testimony. Written testimony must be received by the City Clerk at least 7 days prior to the hearing, shall comply with standards established in City Code 18.28.020.D.7., and shall be considered public record.
