Public Works

The City of Chubbuck Public Works, Maintenance, and Parks Departments strive to construct, maintain, and operate safe and efficient Water, Sewer, Sanitation, Streets and Park facilities for the benefit of businesses, families and individuals who reside in our City. Additionally, Public Works Planning, Building, and Engineering Departments promote effective land use, economic development opportunities and provide technical expertise to ensure orderly growth, safe private and public buildings and efficient, environmentally friendly public infrastructure. Public Works employees are committed to providing exemplary service by focusing on effective daily operations, continually improving our service processes while proactively using technology and financial resources to manage City facilities.

Public Works Director

Rodney Burch was born and raised in Burley Idaho.  Upon graduation from Burley High School 1984, he attended Idaho State University earning a degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 1988.  He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and has worked in the engineering / surveying industry for over 25 years.  In 2015, he sold his successful consulting business and joined our great City as the Public Works Director.  He and his wife Tami are parents of two sons.

Northgate – Siphon Road Extension

Full reconstruction of Siphon Road Phase 3 – Yellowstone to Hiline including the Hiline / Siphon Intersection. Project includes widening to 5 lane corridor, construction of multi-use bike / pedestrian path and relocation of existing utility infrastructure. Project schedule for intersection construction in 2018 and roadway in 2019. Project budget $5 million.

Well # 6

The Well #6 project includes the construction of a new well, well house, booster station, and 1.5 million gallon storage tank. This project will double the city’s water storage capacity and provide a much needed source of water and pumping ability to meet the City’s growing demand for water. In addition, this project will provide back-up and redundancy in case of an emergency, making our water system more reliable.

Monday thru Thursday 7:30am-12pm (Noon) & 1pm-5:30pm. Friday 7:30am-11:30am by Phone & Appointment Only.

City Hall will be closed Monday thru Thursday from 12pm-1pm for Lunch.
