Message from the Chubbuck Water Department.
With irrigation season approaching, we would like to remind residents to please check your valve positions on your sprinkler system and back flow devices to prevent any flooding when we pressurize the secondary irrigation systems for the 2026 irrigation season. Once canal levels stabilize to normal levels staff will turn the pumps on as soon as possible. This will probably be during the first and second week of May. Residents are strongly encouraged to double check that their own shut off valve is in the off position prior to City Employees turning on these pumps to prevent any flooding issues. For any water emergencies please call 208.237.2430 ext. 145.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Land Use & Development Commission of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:00 pm on May 12, 2026 at Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 290 East Linden Ave., Chubbuck, Idaho. Public hearings will be held with respect to the following items:
- An application for the initial zoning (Land Use District) on property that is proposed to be annexed into the City of Chubbuck. The proposed zone is Limited Residential (R-2). The subject property of approximately 3 acres is located at the southwest corner of Philbin Rd and Deckyr Dr. At the meeting, the Commission will consider whether the proposal satisfies the approval criteria in municipal code section 18.28.050.B. Type of Action: Recommendation.
Written testimony must be received by jbowers@cityofchubbuck.us at least 7 days prior to the hearing, shall comply with standards established in City resolution 2021-06. A complete description of each item is available to the public on request to jbowers@cityofchubbuck.us. Project encompasses approximately 195 acres of land with a mixture of residential and commercial development. The subject property is generally bounded on the north by Tyhee Road, on the east by the Hiline Canal, on the south by New Day Parkway, and on the west by the Union Pacific Railroad. The Street Department will start sweeping the City Streets on Monday March 23, 2026. To better serve the community streets have been divided into zones, similar to garbage collection. Pleas have cars, trailers, garbage cans, basketball hoops removed from street on your sweeping day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If there needs to be a change made to your sweeping day due to weather or mechanical issue we will send out a notification.
