NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL REAL PROPERTY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Chubbuck, in compliance with Section 50-1402, Idaho Code, as amended, will offer certain real property for sale at public auction to the highest bidder. Sealed written bids must be submitted no later than 12 PM (noon) on June 7, 2023 to: City of Chubbuck, c/o Community Services Director, 290 E Linden Ave, Chubbuck, ID 83202. The real property for auction includes:

  1.  Tax Parcel No.: RCTG1001300
    Lot 13, Block 1 of The Grove – Division No. 1
    1.37 acres
  2. Tax Parcel No.: RCTG1002200
    Lot 3, Block 3 of The Grove – Division No. 1
    0.21 acres

TERMS OF SALE:

  1. These properties are encumbered by, and sold subject to, easements for drainage control, public utility easements, irrigation easements, irrigation mainline infrastructure and easements, and stormwater drainage easements as established by The Grove – Division No. 1 plat, and Fort Hall Irrigation Project right-of-way, and may be further encumbered by the subdivision’s restrictive codes and covenants, of which the City makes no representation.
  2. Payment to be cash/certified check/cashier’s check/money order.
  3. Minimum bid value established of $500 per lot.
  4. Winning bidder is responsible for all closing and other costs associated with the sale of the properties.
  5. Other terms and conditions of the sales shall be consistent with standard real estate transactions.
  6. Buyer must consent to easement for future canal trail which will be binding on heirs and assigns.

The City Council will review the bids on June 14, 2023. The Council reserves the right to reject any bid which may be made for a lesser amount than minimum bid value and any which do not consent to abide by the terms of sale. If no acceptable bids are received, pursuant to Idaho Code 50-1403(l), the Council will sell the lots on the on the open market subject to, and conditioned upon, the same terms as stated above, except that the Council may, by resolution at the sole discretion of the Council, accept an offer deviating from said terms and conditions.

Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 7am-12pm at Capell Park(5246 Park Lawn Dr.)
Items that WILL NOT be accepted are tires, paint, oil, chemicals, food, kitchen garbage, refrigerators, air conditioners and freezers.
There will be a second Free Day, Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 8am –1pm at Capell Park.

The Street Department will start sweeping the City Streets on Monday April 24, 2023. To better serve the community streets have been divided into zones, similar to garbage collection. Consultant for Comprehensive Plan Update

Consultant for Comprehensive Plan Update – City of Chubbuck, ID

The City of Chubbuck, Idaho is seeking proposals from qualified professional firms to lead the process in updating its Comprehensive Plan. The City seeks a plan that inspires and captures the vision of the community, provides innovative and promising solutions, and clearly outlines goals, policies, and implementation tools and strategies. Part of this endeavor is funded by a Comprehensive Plan Grant from the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health. Consultants should be familiar with Idaho laws regarding city planning, planning in the surrounding region, and planning for Social Determinants of Health.

Deadline for proposals: May 11, 2023, 5:00 PM, MDT.

Branch Chipping

As a service to single-family homes in Chubbuck the City offers a free tree limb chipping service.

This service is for yearly tree branch/brush maintenance and should not be used as a tree removal service.

To better serve the community and allow all of our residents to take advantage of the branch chipping service please bring your branches down to the parking lot at Capell Park (5246 Park Lawn Dr.) on the following dates from 8am to 12 (noon).

Branches must be no more than 6 inches in diameter at the base of the cut.

2023 Chubbuck Rec. Leagues – Registration & Season Dates

We are excited to announce our Registration dates for our Boys Baseball, Girls Fastpitch Softball, and Backyard Baseball leagues.  Below are the Registration and Season dates for each program:

Boys Baseball
Registration will begin on February 20th – March 11th for the following ages:  Mustang – Ages 9 & 10;  Bronco – Ages 11 & 12;  Pony – Ages 13 & 14 & 15.  Registration Cost is $90 per player.

Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, March 28th at Cotant Park starting at 5:30pm.
Games will begin Monday, April 3rd and run thru Mid June.  All games are played at Cotant Park, Monday thru Thursday beginning at 6 pm.

Girls Fastpitch Softball
Registration will begin on March 1st – March 31st for the following ages:  Fastpitch 8U – Ages 7 & 8;  Fastpitch 10U – 9 & 10;  Fastpitch 12U – Ages 11 & 12;  Fastpitch 14U – Ages 13 & 14.  Registration Cost is $50 per player.

Tryouts date will be announced and held at Capel Park starting at 5:30pm.
Games will begin in May and held Monday thru Thursday beginning at 6 pm.

Backyard Baseball (t-ball and pitch machine)
   Registration will begin on March 20th – April 23rd for the following ages:  Foals – Ages 3 & 4;  Shetland – Ages 5 & 6;  Pinto – Ages 7 & 8 (pitching machine).  Registration Cost is $40 per player.

Games will begin June 5th and run thru June 28th.  Foals games will be Monday & Wednesday 9am-12pm;  Shetland games will be Tuesday & Thursday 9am-12pm;  Pinto games will be Monday & Wednesday 9am-12pm. Hawthorne and Quinn Intersection

The Hawthorne and W. Quinn intersection will be closed from February 15th to March 15th for utility work as part of Pocatello’s intersection improvement project. Please find alternate routes or follow the posted detours. Following the utility work, the intersection will be open until around June 1st when it will be closed for the summer for roadway improvements and the installation of a traffic signal. This will be a great improvement when completed. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
